Elaine Vickers is a middle grade and chapter book author whose first book, Like Magic, will be published by HarperCollins in October 2016. She grew up in a family of teachers, so it’s no surprise that she became one myself. She teaches college chemistry and loves to write (and read!) whenever she can. She always wanted to be a writer and a teacher, except when she wanted to be an architect, an artist, a pediatrician, a judge, or a famous actress.  She lives in southern Utah with my husband and three kids who are great readers, budding young scientists, and aspiring writers too!
